'BAREFOOT - EUROPEAN SHOE FAIR' celebrates its premiere in Offenbach

Messe Offenbach is accompanying the industry in its steps towards a healthy shoe future. With the new 'BAREFOOT- EUROPEAN SHOE FAIR', which is precisely tailored to the target group.
The 1st edition of 'BAREFOOT - EUROPEAN SHOE FAIR' will take place from 31 July to 3 August 2025 in cooperation with the HDS/L (German Federal Association of the Footwear and Leather Goods Industry) in the halls of Messe Offenbach.
Around 60 German and international exhibitors are expected to attend the premiere. The range will include barefoot shoes for men, women and children. On the first two days, the trade fair is reserved exclusively for trade visitors. The event will also be open to end consumers on the remaining days.
HDS/L Chairman Carl-August Seibel is enthusiastic about the new trade fair: 'We are creating a cool platform for a cool community here. The HDS/L is the right partner and Messe Offenbach with its central location is the best location. I also find it very exciting to open up the trade fair to end consumers on two days. This gives us a lot of new impulses.'
Roman Degenhardt and Kristin Fitterer, managing directors of the barefoot shoe specialist Zehenspiel (Erbach) and co-initiators of the new trade fair, see the event as a must-have for all retailers specialising in barefoot shoes: 'The rapidly growing barefoot shoe segment needs its own independent platform where manufacturers, retailers and everyone involved with barefoot shoes can meet, inform themselves and exchange ideas. The broad spectrum of barefoot shoe brands will become visible in Offenbach. '
For Messe Offenbach, the 'BAREFOOT - EUROPEAN SHOE FAIR' is the first shoe trade fair ever. 'We are delighted to be able to make this start with one of the most popular topics at the moment, barefoot shoes,' says Arnd Hinrich Kappe, looking optimistically into the future.
The new trade fair will also be accompanied by an extensive, practical supporting programme - similar to the well-known, successful events at Messe Offenbach.
