Since 2007, the CTCR has spear headed many different technological projects related to many fields within the footwear sector. All of these projects have been funded and collaborated on by public as well as private companies and have been carried out according to the express needs of all parties, thus guaranteeing the integral application of economic and material resources. In the same way, all projects funded and executed have been monitored in order to guarantee their sustainability after the initial stages.

INESCOP is a service organisation for the footwear and related industries, formed by these companies themselves in order to collectively deal with the technological activities which are of sectorial interest and which cannot be carried out individually.

Currently known as the Technological Institute for Footwear and Related Industries, INESCOP began its activities in 1971 and works as a non-profit making organisation, with more than 600 associated companies in the whole country.

The Instituto de Biomecánica de Valencia (IBV – Biomechanics Institute of Valencia) is a technological centre that studies the behavior of the human body and its interaction with products, environments and services. Founded in 1976, the Institute is currently coordinated under the agreement of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

With the aim to improve competitiveness among the business sector, the IBV promotes people’s well-being through the combination of knowledge in areas such as biomechanics, ergonomics and emotional engineering, and its application to diverse sectors.
